Photo walks are a laid-back way to learn more about your camera, composition or creative thinking with a professional by your side.
Your small group (approx 5-7) will meet your instructor at a given location and time and after a quick introduction start your walk. They are ideal for beginners and amateurs to spend time learning from the walk instructor and other attendees.
Some of our walks or themed around a certain style of photography, but others are left more general and allow you to shoot anything you prefer.
You don’t need to be an experienced photographer, we’ve taught absolute beginners how to take better photos in just a few hours.
It doesn’t matter what camera equipment you have to attend our photo walks.
Your walk instructor will show you what settings to use and how to make the most of a moment. Don’t bring too much gear, pack light with room for snacks and water.
Bring along a couple of memory cards and a spare battery too. It’s up to you if you want to take your tripod and lens filters, simply consider the location and the weather on the day.
Each individual event will outline what is best to bring along given the location of the walk and potential opportunities.
Photo walks last approximately 3-5 hours following a pre-designated route specifically designed for perfect photo opportunities.
Along the walk, chat with fellow iPhotographers and find out a little more about what they enjoy shooting. It’s a great way of making photo friends if you normally shoot alone.
Selected photo walks and workshops have virtual editing sessions after the event on Zoom to edit and review your photos giving the full A-Z experience.
